Five years. The world has changed a lot since last time I wrote a blog post. It was before the pandemic . . .
I was talking with someone recently about why I stopped writing. There was a glitch in the program that I used to post them — it wouldn’t let me post pictures anymore. And pictures really are worth a thousand words. But more than that, there had been so many changes in my life. Mom went into an Alzheimer’s facility . . . I lost my dad . . . because of your feedback, I had posted so much about my family. And my heart just wasn’t in it anymore.
Some of you who have joined us since the fall of 2019 have no idea what I am talking about. In a nutshell, we’re a small company. We consider our customers part of our family. So it only seems fair that we share a bit of ours with you.
With the launch of our new site, I think I’m ready to share our adventures again — in the store . . . on the road . . . and yes, in my family.
We’ll start with this — a new logo that you’ll be seeing a lot of. I need to get a new sign for the booth, and we’ll incorporate it into a lot of other things over the next few months. But I suspect you’ll see the old one for a while — some things are easier to change than others.
For now, I’ll close with a line I used to conclude the first blog post I ever wrote, in March 2009 . . .
I hope you’ll come along for the ride.
